The Valin Academy of Performing Arts, for most
of it's students, is a second chance. If you have
been sent to this school - you had nowhere to go,
no other choice unless you wanted to be placed
in a foster home, a juvenile facility, or just
live on the streets. This is an Academy for
underprivilaged kids - those that come from the
worst parts of New York City, and some even from
other cities, states, and even other countries. It is
a new hope for those that had none - those that
always dreamt of making it in the world with
their natural talents - art, music, theatre, and more.

The process goes like this - you went to a social
worker, a foster home, or even to a police officer -
and they saw some sort of talent in you. Maybe
you can sing like an angel, maybe you're the next
Picasso - whatever the reason, they refer you to the
Valin Academy. You don't have an audition persay,
you do need to prove that you have some sort of
artistic talent, and with weeks - you will know if
you are accepted or not, and you will be taken out
to the Academy, located in New York City, and begin
your schooling there. You will recieve only top
notch teaching, from some of the most sought after
teachers in the business - and there is also counciling
and help for those that had it really rough, which is
most students. You cannot buy your way into
the Valin Academy - it is earned, and it is a golden
opportunity for kids that have gone through
some of the worst things a human could go through.

The Valin Academy was sponsored, built, and is run
by two moguls in the entertainment business, who
wanted to do something good with their money. Both
having come from bad situations, they want to make
sure that kids like that will always have a way out,
and a chance to make it.
