I’m sure you’ve heard the story. The Titanic and it’s passengers set sail for New York on April 10th, 1912. The ship’s maiden voyage was said to be a once in a lifetime trip. The ship was supposed to be unsinkable. After all, with White Star Line’s ‘spare no expense’ philosophy, the Titanic was undoubtedly one of the best – if not the best ship afloat.
But the trip wasn’t as uneventful as Captain Smith would have liked. They received ice warnings, warnings they ignored, and decided that the Titanic was safe from any danger. But at 11:40pm on the evening of April 14th, something happened. An iceberg was spotted but the ship couldn’t be turned fast enough. They hit and what unfolded during the next two and a half hours has fascinated us for decades.
How will you play those final moments? How will you re-live history? When the end comes, will your characters face it bravely, or jump in the first boat to leave the sinking ship? While at sea, will you form friendships, find love, or risk it all?
