On a dark, cold island, hundreds of miles
away from human civilization, there were
a colony of people commonly known as
the cold ones. The only time they were
seen to human eye was when they
were on a feeding rampage, ripping
apart woman and child, and then returning
back to there homes, leaving the small
villages they attacked in despair and
turning several into their own kind.
The cold ones were never careful about
changing the humans into their own kind,
nor did they care. It was their only colony
of people they were concerned about until
the war of 1892 when the humans began
to slay the vampires created on the
mainland and eventually attacked the
cold ones' castle. The humans, believing
they triumphed in defeating all of the cold
ones, left the island victorious, shouting
and singing. Little did they know, the elders
were stronger than the mere newborns
and middle-aged ones that were killed.
It took more than a simple stake through
the heart to defeat them.
The cold ones left their beloved home on a ship,
sailed by two human servants and their children
that were trusted and unharmed by the cold ones.
There were only six cold ones left out of the
hundreds on the island: Shakika, Lucius, Ivan,
Sonya, Joshua, and Lucas. The six elders,
the main rulers of their council. They immigrated
to America, where they then found a remote
location in the middle of a forest, and only
miles from the ocean. They then began to
find humans that appealed to them in
power or strength or beauty and
urned them into their own.
Humans eventually began to build near
the castle, soon leaving the cold ones
surrounded by thousands of humans in
the small city that enclosed them. A rich
feeding ground, but still they kept
themselves a secret from the ignorant
humans that surrounded them.
The year is now 2009. Long ago the eldest
vampires began their colony in small city
of Hatchett, and although a city, it is known
by hardly anyone but Hatchett residents.
The vampires bred overtime, and had
children of their own who stop aging
before they ever can hit thirty. Some
vampires mated with humans, and
created half breeds who are treated as
humans by the pure bloods, but they
still must keep their blood line a secret.
There is a fair amount of segregation
between the half breeds and the pure bloods.
The pure bloods attend their own private
school at night, when the humans are
tucked in their beds, and the half breeds,
who can stand the light, attend normal
school and normal jobs, being treated as any other human.
But will they finally look past their
differences and come together as one
coven now that a new coven has moved in,
and the new coven are not vampires. Nor or
they human. Will the vampires, regardless of
their ranks, come together to take out the
werewolves that are slowly beginning to
fill up their city?
