FULL DESCRIPTION:Vanyel is a simple man, by his own terms, and does not look out of place in his pristine white lab coat. Neither does he look out of place after an experiment, with a bloody scalpel in his hand and red stains on his tightly pinned cuffs. He has an air about him that makes you want him to fit in. There is that little something that marks him as someone who knows what they are doing.
When he is off duty, there is little to make him stand out, as such he is fairly commonplace, his only distinguishing feature would be his hair. And only in the sense that most people… most men, would have theirs cut off long before it grew past 20 centimetres. His sleight build places him as unthreatening and his smile would help place him as a friend.
He is fairly anal about his dress, and is forever correcting his clothing or hair so that he might look perfect, not out of vanity, but out of a mild case of OCD. The only time you might see a hair out of place, would be while he is at work, when his mind is occupied by things other than the distinctly incorrect tilt of his collar.
If you ever happened to see him without his clothes on, which would be either, very good or very bad for you, you would see numerous burns and cuts laid across his upper arms, legs and chest with careful precision. Self mutilation is a bit of an addiction of his.

FULL PERSONALITY: Vanyel is a man of science, and personal gain. He shows little mercy to those he views as his inferiors, and little more than contempt for most anyone else. Pompous and arrogant describe him well, and as is accompanied by those words all too often, jerk suffices as well. This is all a matter of course and quite normal for him, but occasionally, he will be a little more pleasant, if he gets something out of it. What he gets really depends, whether it’s money, power, or a little… entertainment.
Should the mood take him, he can be pleasant; it will even be partially sincere. He will smile and flirt, or even tease… without meaning to degrade and humiliate his target. He usually does not act this way with coworkers or test subject, but hey, he isn’t 100% predictable.
He lives for praise, and if you are sincere… or at least not trying to manipulate him too much, this little sycophant will be only too happy to allow you to continue.

EXPERIMENTS His current, most promising subject is Blade. His past experiments were all failed and he refuses to acknowledge them.
EXPERIENCE AT THE LABS He was assigned as a mere lab assistant in the beginning, but rose to a head of research and then a head of an actual practical team. He has overcome any obstacles he has faced until now. The mental aspect of his experiments is taking its toll, on his subjects. The last few died whether it was from actual suicides of their own, or simply going brain dead, he is determined to overcome this recent thread of failures.
He believes that his method of experimentation will create a stronger and more efficient creature. Vanyel tries to combine both the common physical strengths of experiments with the increased mental attributes that so few are gifted with. He wants to create a race of superbeings. He wants his name to go down in history for being at the forefront of the experiments, for being the genius behind the greatest of the experiments.
KNOWN HISTORY:Always a great seeker of knowledge, Vanyels childhood was where his research began. And since morality and compassion were not, and in fact, are still not his strong points… his research delved into the workings of animals, the way their bones worked, how their organs were placed. His research was almost always practical… and in a very hands on manner. His mother was disturbed to find him playing with the inner organs of a neighbourhood stray, but his father… an accomplished scientist in his own right, had always encouraged his interests in the anatomy of living things… if not the unsanitary conditions he practiced his research.
As he grew he became something of a replica of his father… without the soft spot for a spouse. He saw female attachments as a weakness and even the minute possibility of a pregnancy was a risk he was reluctant to take. Even so, he still had his own… desires, so his preference settled on men, and they could be entirely pleasing. He was content to let things stay that way until a beautiful young woman showed him the error of his ways. Of course she was designed as a sex toy… the hormones she let off would have seduced a choir boy soprano. Still, he now plays for both sides of the field, even if it is solely for physical pleasure.
He originally intended to be solely a researcher for te experiments, but soon found he enjoyed performing the procedures even more than planning them. So in the end, he resolved to lead his own team in his own direction, creating the ultimate experiment.
EXPERIMENT MODIFICATIONS Vanyel has worked on many expreiments and most have failed. He seeks to increase the mental attributes of his experiments as well as the physical. Unfortunatly this has more than frequently led to mental problems and eventual death of his experiments.
