SPECIES: HUMAN
| SOUL | SENTIENT | SANITY |
Humans; the central part of Valmordia's society. It was they who evolved, they who tamed both the wilds of the forest and the souls within the wild beasts. They have much to credit their names with, in the long run. Of course, they're not the most advanced creature that could be... they just happen to be the most plentiful. However, they have one main failing. They do not change to suit their environment; they change their environment to suit them. Many humans are able to quickly switch from one area to another of course; the more well-travelled actually learn skills and languages from many places. But humans, as a species, are not adaptable, and so Myst has hit them hard. Harder still, because they are one of Myst's few sentient species.
Humans are as varied as the lands they once inhabited: the dark-skinned men of the Western deserts; the pale white brown of the Eastern ice-lands; the gentle brown of the Northern forets, and many hues between. Hair of varying lengths, tones, and colours sprouts from their heads, and their faces are even more varied. In fact, there are only a few key points about which we can all agree.
Each of them is bipedal, with a fixed form and no metal additions... unless any skin has been pierced. Five nimble digits, one being a thumb, adorn the end of each forelimb, and the five on their long feet are arranged from the largest to the smallest, the smallest being the toe facing away from the body.
STRENGTHS
-> All humans have good strength in each of their limbs, and use their hands for almost all of their daily life. For the most part, they are dexterous, this only differing with the occasional clumsy specimen.
->They have good eye-sight, and can see from up-close to far away with good, moderate, or satisfactory vision.
-> Having the capacity of sentient thought, they are capable of being able to make their own desicions, and seldom suffer from madness.
-> Though neither exceptional nor remarkable, their other senses are taste, hearing, touch and scent - scent being the weakest but most commonly associated with memories. A scent can easily trigger a human's memory.
WEAKNESSES
-> They can suffer from Parima-madness. This disease will be further explained in [ broken link ][/blockquote]
-> Their soft skin is the only defence that will keep out a claw or fang; they are very weak when compared with most successful experiments, and useless against Chimera.
-> A human's senses are not even close to becoming as advanced as those of their experimential counterparts, and so they lack the sensitive hearing, touch, and various other senses that make the experiments so amazing.
->
-> Greed. Love. Lust. In fact, all emotions are generally a human's undoing. They are covered for the most part; covered so well they do not even know they are doing it. I bet you're feeling something now. Aren't you.
