SPECIES: SCIENTIST
| SOUL | HUMAN | INSANITY |
Certainly, a scientist is a human; there is no debating this fact, and they will be hard-pressed to become anything other. But scientists have slight... ever-so-slight differences that the rest of humanity has not developed. Their ability to take and give orders, for example. How they react upon the death of a colleague. When they will stop once their experiment starts to scream.
Scientists spend the majority of their time locked away in Theranse, working with almost inhuman diligence upon their subjects. You will find few scientists outside the labs; anyone who wishes to speak with them must come to them. They also have messengers, crudely known as 'lab-rats', who work for the scientists' best interests outside of the catacombs that are the labs.
STRENGTHS
-> All humans have good strength in each of their limbs, and use their hands for almost all of their daily life. For the most part, they are dexterous, this only differing with the occasional clumsy specimen. They have good eye-sight, and can see from up-close to far away with good, moderate, or satisfactory vision.
-> Having the capacity of sentient thought, they are capable of being able to make their own decisions. Many scientists are insane, though some do not show it.
-> Though neither exceptional nor remarkable, their other senses are taste, hearing, touch and scent - scent being the weakest but most commonly associated with memories. A scent can easily trigger a human's memory. They are mostly dependant upon sight, however, and various modifications include enhancing the abilities of such.
-> Some scientists offer their own forms for experimentation. Never anything as drastic as the experiments; of course not! But they occasionally add certain... enhancements, in order to better the human body.
WEAKNESSES
-> They can suffer from Parima-madness. This disease will be further explained in [ broken link ][/blockquote]
-> Their soft skin is the only defence that will keep out a claw or fang; they are very weak when compared with most successful experiments, and useless against Chimera. Some scientists, as has been said, do modify themselves to counteract these weaknesses, but no full-body titanium armour and such.
-> A human's senses are not even close to becoming as advanced as those of their experimental counterparts, and so they lack the sensitive hearing, touch, and various other senses that make the experiments so amazing.
-> Greed. Love. Lust. In fact, all emotions are generally a human's undoing. They are covered for the most part; covered so well they do not even know they are doing it. I bet you're feeling something now. Aren't you?
-> Any scientists who has ever experimented upon himself knows that, with the advantages, may come disadvantages. Quite a few scientists have specialities, things they might add to their co-workers in return for a favour, but these are few and far between. Most scientists are used to killing their test subjects if necessary. Trying to keep them alive or being certain that a modification will work is something they are unfamiliar with.
