SPECIES: CHIMERA

The Chimera... A source of horror. A source of fascination. The stuff of nightmares made flesh.
The Chimera is the scientists' closest path to their distant goal. Somehow (And please, do not make me speculate!) they have managed to capture the soul, that ephemeral entity upon which the Myst exacts its control, and encased it in metal. After which, the creature -usually a human soul in an animal form- is subjected to various tests, the nature of which are only known by the highest scientists. More specifically, Dr. Psylin himself.
The tests and experiments that these unfortunates undergo is not something to be considered lightly. -SECURITY BREACH.-
STRENGTHS
-> Scientists have created their Chimera to be virtually indestructible. They are simply so imposing that few people would dare to challenge them.
-> With their soul encased in metal tighter than a lover's embrace, there is no way that the Myst is going to get anywhere near the hearts and souls of these creatures. -Access Error-
-> All of the senses are completely remarkable. Unlike an animal, who has the senses and no mental capability to put them to their best use, a Chimera has various additions and the knowledge to keep them to their best use.
WEAKNESSES
-> They can suffer from Parima-madness. This disease will be further explained in [ broken link ][/blockquote]
-> As a species, Chimera have been described as virtually indestructible. But note the 'virtually'. Every Chimera has a chink in their armour, but as to what it is, well, that depends upon their strength and size. -Contact Error-
-> For a Chimera, emotions are felt twice as strong as their human counterparts. They either love and hate with an intimidating fire, or lack the chemicals to do so. Some might have the capacity for extreme hate, but are without the endorphins or serotonin that would make their lives worth living.
-> All Chimeras have a chief weakness. The scientists call this their Achilles Heel, for obvious reasons. This is generally owing to the fact that, in focussing on the bigger pictures, they leave out smaller details. It is these details that, frequently, expand into an exploitable weakness. Even though Chimeras have enough animal instinct to defend these, the weakness is still there...
